FRIGIDAIRE DISHWASHER DRAIN : DISHWASHER DRAIN
Frigidaire Dishwasher Drain : Amana Dishwasher Manual : Maytag Washer Will Not Agitate. Frigidaire Dishwasher Drain
Day 198 - 2/6/11 Friday night - run the dishwasher, notice a big puddle of water on the floor. Investigate and find that drain hose is leaking. It has multiple, small holes in it. Too late to go to hardware store, have to wait until next morning. In meantime, foam-seal the electrical opening going to the dishwasher. Saturday - go to Home Depot and bring leakinghose along. Find out that my dishwasher does not take the 'universal' drain hose offered for $7.99. Go to Ace Hardware to see if they carry it - they do not. Find specialty appliance store that carries the part for $21. Bring it home, install it, put dishwasher back in place. All is good. Saturday afternoon - run dishwasher, notice puddle of water. Pull out dishwasher again, find that rubber fitting between dishwasher and recirculation hose is leaking. Looking closely, seems as if it has been 'chewed' which reinforces my thought that the other hose looked like it had been 'bitten'. Head to Home Depot - again - to find rubber fitting. Of course they do not carry it. Find other materials to make it work. Install new ghetto- fabulous assembly. Run dishwasher without putting it back under cabinet to check for leaks. Sunday morning - no leaks or puddling found. Put dishwasher back in place. Curse Frigidaire and their specialty parts. Drain Bridge London has some mad drains. This one had junctions, rooms, giant overflows, automatic diversion gates, stairs, colums, handrails(!), traps, bridges and rats of course. Its construction ranged from round brick, arched brick, balloon brick, concrete, stone and stainless steel. This city must have some cash. It might have smelt bad and it may have given me the plague but damm, there is some cool stuff down here. All credit goes to Nel for the lighting and for the posing idea. As she said so wisely as we ran back and forth taking this photo "It costs nothing to be crazy" London. Similar posts: |
